Spendvue is a personal finance tracking tool. It helps you record, visualise, and understand your spending. It is not a bank, a financial advisor, or a regulated financial service.

Nothing in Spendvue — including the Projections tab, the FIRE calculator, the goal tracker, or any other feature — constitutes financial advice. All calculations and projections are illustrative only, based on assumptions you provide. They do not account for taxes, fees, changes in income, or any other personal circumstances. Do not make financial decisions based solely on information in this app. Consult a qualified financial advisor for advice specific to your situation.

You are responsible for the security of your account and your email address. You must provide an accurate email address. You may not create accounts for others without their permission.

You own your data. We do not claim any rights over the financial information you enter. You can export your data at any time and delete your account at any time. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter.

You agree not to: use the app for any unlawful purpose; attempt to access another user's data; reverse-engineer or abuse the service; or use the app if you are under 13 years of age.

We aim to keep Spendvue available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may take the service down for maintenance with notice where possible.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Spendvue and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including financial decisions made based on information in the app. Since Spendvue is currently free, our total liability is limited to £0.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time.

Spendvue is a personal finance tracking application operated by Spendvue.

Spendvue offers two modes. In device-only mode, all your data is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device and we have no access to it whatsoever. In account mode, your data is synced to a secure database so you can access it across devices. The sections below apply to account mode only. If you use device-only mode, we collect and store nothing about you.

When you create an account, we collect your email address (used only to send you sign-in codes) and the financial data you enter: transactions, categories, goals, recurring expenses, and currency settings. We do not collect your name, address, phone number, payment information, or any browsing behaviour.

Your financial data is stored securely and used only to display it back to you. Your email is used solely to send 6-digit sign-in codes — never for marketing. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models.

We use Supabase (supabase.com) as our database and authentication provider. Your data is stored on Supabase's GDPR-compliant infrastructure in the EU. We use Resend (resend.com) to deliver sign-in code emails. No other third parties have access to your data.

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Every table in the database has Row Level Security (RLS) enabled — a database-level rule that restricts each user to their own rows. This rule runs inside the database engine and cannot be bypassed by the application. Even with administrative access to the Supabase dashboard, your financial data cannot be queried without a verified session token that only you hold. We authenticate using 6-digit one-time codes — no passwords are ever stored.

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete all your data at any time from within the app (Settings → Clear all data). This takes effect immediately.

If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data; object to processing; and lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority (UK: ico.org.uk). Most of these rights can be exercised directly in the app — see Settings for data export and deletion. See the Contact section of our Terms for anything else.

Spendvue is not directed at children under 13. Accounts believed to belong to a child will be removed on request.

Material changes will be notified by email with an updated date above. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
